Ichimaro is a slice of life comedy focused on nostalgia and fun for all ages, based around 5 main characters. This is another rare case where the dub simply out does the original audio. Sadly, most of these actors aren’t in much else, but they certainly did an amazing job here. They even had real kids do the kids voices!
The first in a series of posts I said I’d start a little while back. I think this is actually the show that made me want to do it. Seto is a hilarious series and the dub makes it even better than the original audio was able to manage. Not just a good dub, but a rare case where the dub outdoes the Japanese entirely.
I’m going to start a new line of posts focusing on giving some attention to dubbed anime that deserves it, yet is overlooked anyway. This is just a post going over that and some comments on the dubbing industry in general.
