A special stage event at the Dengeki 20th Anniversary Festival announced that production on the second season of A Certain Scientific Railgun television anime series has been green-lit. The title of the second season is Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S (A Certain Scientific RailgunS).
The story and staff of the second season will be confirmed in the December issue of ASCII Media Works‘ Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine on October 27.

I’ve been waiting on this since I finished Railgun, any more biribiri is welcome biribiri and something to be excited about. Hopefully it’ll actually keep to the less shounen-y aspects of the manga like season 1 did. A lot of Index and manga fans hated the fact the adaptation gave Saten a bigger role and played up the slice of life aspects (albeit without adding much filler, rather just lengthening the same events from the manga and adding in Saten) – but I personally loved that about it. The manga is great and all as far as I’ve read, but the show just does it all so much better.
I’m so glad they decided on a Railgun S2 before making more of the godawful Naruto-with-black-hair Index. Index is a godawful show and you should feel bad for liking it if you do – but – Railgun is awesome.
So yeah. Point is, I’m excited! Most people know of my attachment to Mikoto by now so it should come as no surprise.

To be honest I feel proud for loving Index (the novels not the anime which J.C seriously messed up! ) While Railgun season 1 was shit due to its moe and all those stupid fights . Railgun S did an awesome job for sister’s arc. Otherwise nothing much interesting in the railgun anime series. ( The railgun manga’s Daihaisei festival arc is kind of good too)
Yet, still want J.C staff to make Index season 3 . Damn can’t wait to see Accelerator vs Kakine’s battle animated or last order’s sweet hug . And hope there will also be a Index season 4 and 5 . XD Lol, would get to see World war 3 with Accelerator, Last order, Misaka Worst, Misaka, Misaka clones in action animated!!!!! Also hope there will be index season 6,7,8 too!!!! XD Seriously also want to see Magic god othinus arc animated.
Hope they seriously don’t end up making Railgun season 3 instead of index 3 . XD
The index novels are immensely popular in japan. You can also see it’s ranking. Index novels started in 2004. But see it’s ranking from 2009-2015 Even misaka got 1st place continuously five times in a row for best female character in novels. Touma and accelerator are also ranked in top ten in best male characters :-

It also says that index novels got ranked 7 times in a row in the top 10 out of 11 issues. Which makes it the novel to be ranked the most times than the other novels!

Every damn day I feel bad for liking Index. It’s so… bad. It’s like a watered down Nasuverse with sci-fi elements!
Railgun is way fucking better, yes. And yeah, it has a lot to do with it being combination Slice-of-Life Comedy/Shounen they actually tried when writing instead of ass-pulls, and with lots of cool chicks instead of screaming dudes.

Wait a second. Comedy? You mean that shit-yuri which was half of the time about panties and all those things ,comedy which was so bad that I felt what the heck is going on?! And cool chicks? What???? Saten and uiharu didn’t even like them even a bit. Kuruko was annoying most of the times but oh well. Misaka was good.
And if I had to define railgun season 1 it had be ”A stupid story about girls doing moe stuff almost 95% of the time and the other 5% action in which the moe sucked a lot and the action was stupid in itself nothing dark nothing good and nothing interesting with terrible science side villains.”
All characters are weak in all ways, childish, spontaneous, fanatical, etc. even though they presumably possess great skills and knowledge in a futuristic world, e.g. hacking computers (lolz). Moreover, there is no particular growth in their personalities throughout the show. The character Saten may look like playing a triggering role in one or two arc(s) but her contribution to the story remains next to nothing.

Most of the index fans don’t even like Naruto! I myself don’t like those long stupid animes like naruto, one piece,bleach,etc,etc. Could it be you being a railgun fan like Naruto,lol? XD
